Hearts aFire Classes

Hearts a Fire Classes Through The Marian CenterWould you like to become a vibrant part of the New Evangelization?

Well, this is where you start.  I would like to share with you a series of programs produced by the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception.

These courses are part of what they call the HAPP program, which stands for Hearts Afire Parish Programs for the New Evangelization.  These programs are spreading like wildfire throughout the country and beyond!  How appropriate to use the term ‘wildfire’.  Sound familiar, like the Gospel of St. Luke, chapter twelve when Our Lord cries out, “I have come to set fire on the earth and how I long that it would be enkindled!”

33 Days To Morning Glory

These wonderfully effective programs begin with the Marian Consecration called “33 Days to Morning Glory”.  This is a 5 week self-led retreat that covers the topic of Mariology for beginners.  Fr. Michael Gaitley MIC, the founder of these programs, begins with a “Why” and “What is” of Marian Consecration for those unfamiliar with the topic.  He then leads viewers through 4 weeks of engaging Marian texts and teachings by great Marian Saints; St. Louis Marie De Montfort, St. Maximillian Kolbe, Bl. Teresa of Calcutta, and St. John Paul II.  The book is simple, a two to three minute a day self- led retreat, which any one can manage, even the busiest of us.  Classes and groups meet once each week to discuss the materials and to view a DVD Presentation on each saint.  Each session lasts 35 minutes and is catechetically based on the Scriptures and on the sound doctrine and teachings of the Catholic Church.   A wonderful blend of humor and holiness is woven together by Fr. Mike to bring everyone to a deeper level of faith and love for Jesus Christ.  Morning Glory is the first of a two part series that comprise the first stage of the HAPP program called “The Two Hearts”.

Consoling the Heart of Jesus

Morning Glory leads us to the goal and purpose of Marian Consecration, Jesus Christ Himself.  In “Consoling the Heart of Jesus.”  This ten week retreat, delves into the rich devotions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Divine Mercy.  Excellent in its substance and prayerful insights, it leads all to a deeper level of intimate prayer with Jesus.  Timely to offer during the Liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, they will bring new life and zeal for holiness to any parish group or gathering.  Drawing from the Church’s rich legacy of Saints like St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Faustina, St. Margaret Mary, and Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, it makes contemplation seem so easy, and offers simple and clear Theological explanations for both beginners and those farther along in their faith journey.  Fr. Gaitley has a gift for bringing his readers ‘Heart to heart’ with Jesus in ways that can change your life.

One Thing is Three

The third program and second stage of HAPP, after the “Two Hearts,” is called “Wisdom and Works of Mercy.”  A book study, aimed at imparting a deeper wisdom, this stage provides a much needed catechesis on the Holy Trinity called the “One Thing is Three.”  This book study is extremely well done, with an appendix on several Christian classics and even a book rating system   Themes include the importance of communion and our eternal destiny and ‘glorification in Christ.’  Not only does this new program offer insights on this central Mystery of our Faith, but it also adds a sense of order, organization and purpose to our Faith life that will enrich both beginner and the Theologian.

“This Book study was the crowning point of my faith journey, uniting together with purpose everything else I have learned along the way.  This program helped me to make sense out of all the Truths of our Faith.  Now I am eager to go deeper into this Mystery and I can’t wait for Heaven.”

This quote pretty much sums up the ‘goldmine of Graces’ contained in this ten week Book study on the Most Holy Trinity.  These insights should not be a secret.  Finally, Theology made simple!  I am convinced that these HAPP programs are an incredible gift of God for our times and they are sure to set your family, group, or parish community on Fire.
