Bookstore SOLD!

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Believe it or not! The bookstore building downtown, on the market since March 2006, was finally sold yesterday afternoon!

Thank you, Saint Joseph!

Technically, the buyer has three days, according to Michigan law, to change his mind. And with every up and down in this rollar coaster, I'll really celebrate after those three days are over!

Lord willing, we close on sale of the bookstore building downtown tomorrow, August 29. Keep praying!

Oh, and we made it safely to and from Minnesota on our summer vacation to see my family.

Mercers travelling to Minnesota

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Pray for Lori and me. We are driving 500 miles to visit my folks in Minnesota. Yeah, 500 miles with two little munchkins in the car.

Did I say, pray for us?

What did parents do before portable DVD players?

The Marian Center should be open each day we're gone. (We have volunteers coming). But just call to double-check…

Bookstore sale delayed yet again

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

The bookstore sale was supposed to close on August 15. But that date has come and gone.

Lori and I are now ready to leave on vacation to Minnesota, so the closing date will hopefully be around August 21 or 22. We'll see.

The Catholic Summer Festival 2008 was an amazing success! Fr. Mitch Pacwa and Katrina Zeno wowed the crowd with their inspiring talks. Thanks to all the volunteers that made this event possible!
